A sustainable new year: things we can all do in our daily lives

The new year brings along the perfect opportunity to put your resolutions into practice – and sustainable living certainly deserves a place amongst them.

Little steps can have a huge impact

It is often those little things that, when added all together, make a noticeable difference. You can, for instance, achieve a lot in everyday life if you heed these three simple tips:

  • Filling up reusable flasks instead of buying disposable plastic bottles

  • Walking or cycling are the better options for short distances

  • Shopping mindfully – giving preference to regional produce

And what about at the dental clinic? The following could be a great starting point, for example:

  • Communicating with patients digitally saves paper and toner

  • Providing reusable cups in the waiting area instead of disposable plastic ones

  • Energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting minimise electricity consumption

What ultimately matters is that every contribution counts.
It’s not about being absolutely perfect, but rather about raising awareness for greater sustainability. If we work together, we can help make sustainable practices not just a trend, but part of our everyday lives.

With this in mind, let’s look forward to a sustainably healthy 2026!
