DMG is a second-generation family business. This goes hand in hand with a tremendous amount of social responsibility towards employees and customers alike. Through our forward-looking, sustainability-focused corporate policy, we aim to safeguard DMG’s success in the long term for the benefit of all.

Long-term thinking

DMG is accountable only to its employees and partners – not to shareholders or external investors. Our independence from the capital market and shareholder values allows us to think and plan for the long term. There is no need to generate profits in the short term. Our employee policy is also geared towards sustainability, as demonstrated by the extraordinarily long tenures of many of our employees.

A future-proof location

Ever since 1963, when DMG was established, the west of Hamburg has always been the company’s home. To future-proof the company, we invest in our home sustainably. In recent years, this has included developing a fully-equipped
Dental Training Centre and two new production, warehouse and office buildings, right here at the Lurup site.
With state-of-the-art technology for optimum efficiency and resource conservation. A high level of vertical integration ensures independence and planning security in the long term.

Family values

Dr Wolfgang Mühlbauer (DMG’s President) was born on the same day that his father founded DMG. That creates a commitment. Now, the family’s third generation is in the starting blocks, ready to take on responsibility. In 2022, Dr Mühlbauer was named “Family Entrepreneur of the Year” for the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. This commendation particularly highlighted the social commitment and dedication to a sustainable corporate policy.
