In our daily practice as specialists in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, we treat patients, both children and adults, who present lesions affecting the anterior teeth as a result of developmental defects in dental tissues. These conditions compromise aesthetics and may also have a negative impact on patients’ self-esteem.
In her Interdentale session on 22nd of September 2026, Dr. Ana Roig demonstrates, how various diagnostic tools and clinical approaches can improve the characterization of enamel defects, enabling more precise and case-specific decision-making.
In the case of non-cavitated lesions in anterior teeth, erosive-infiltrative techniques have proven to be a minimally invasive option capable of reducing the opacity of white spot lesions and enhancing their aesthetic integration.
The complexity of this approach lies primarily in the accurate diagnosis of the defect and in proper case selection. Techniques such as resin infiltration, together with complementary diagnostic tools like transillumination, can contribute to a better assessment of lesion depth and extension, ultimately improving treatment predictability.
Dr. Roig will address the clinical management of enamel defects in the anterior region, providing practical diagnostic and treatment criteria while integrating scientific evidence with everyday clinical experience.
Finally, we will take enough time for your personal questions and exchange.
