High stability, easy modelling properties.

DeltaFil is a modern glass ionomer cement with innovative technology: Elastomeric micelles are dispersed within the GIC, increasing fracture toughness and thereby strengthening the cement. This results in greater resistance of the restorations without affecting biocompatibility and fluoride release. This results in greater resistance of the restorations without affecting the outstanding biocompatibility and exceptionally good fluoride release.

More information

Confirmed GIC benefits + innovative
technology = DeltaFil

The elastomeric micelle technology (EMT) makes DeltaFil an innovative GIC with exceptional stability. The micelles incorporated into the material prevent cracks from developing. In addition to increased stability, the patent-pending new technology developed by DMG also ensures particularly easy handling, similar to that of composites.

DeltaFil not only improves the resistance of restorations through the dispersion of elastomeric micelles, but also the clinically relevant flexural strength and fracture toughness. Preclinical data confirms DeltaFil’s superiority in this regard over competing products.

DeltaFil has outstanding mechanical properties and guarantees particularly user-friendly working. The material covers a wide range of applications.

  • Class I, II, III and V restorations of primary teeth
  • Class I and II restorations not subject to occlusal load; sandwich technique
  • Class V restorations; sandwich technique
  • Class I, II, III and V temporary restorations
  • Extended fissure sealing
  • Base and liner
  • Core build-up

Glass ionomer cements offer numerous advantages and have an established presence in dental practices with good reason. These cements are particularly suitable for specific patient groups such as children and senior citizens, as their special requirements can be optimally fulfilled. DeltaFil combines the tried-and-tested benefits of GIC and innovative technology. The innovative positives:

Easy usability:

  • Increased flexural strength and fracture toughness thanks to patented micelle technology
  • Natural surface shine without protective varnish
  • High shade stability
  • Reduced caries progression due to fluoride release
  • Self-adhesive
  • Excellent biocompatibility
  • Reduced risk of postoperative sensitivities
  • Suitable for atraumatic restorative treatment (ART)
  • Easy to use, no drying necessary
  • Simple to mould
  • Does not stick to the instrument
  • Perfect adaptation to the cavity wall
  • Optimised consistency for all indications
  • Convenient working time
  • Excellent setting behaviour
  • Suitable for use with metal matrices
