The minimally-invasive treatment of white spot lesions, fluorosis and MIH with Icon vestibular.
Enamel white and brown spots are commonly found on adult teeth. Severe forms can be seen by the naked eye which result in altered aesthetics. Historically there has been no conservative treatment option for these lesions. As patients become more self-conscious and aesthetically aware demand for treatment is increasing. Patients want a non-invasive, simple, and fast treatment option. To fulfil all these requirements whitening + resin infiltration can be used to provide a fast, aesthetic result with minimal tooth structure removal.
The aim of this lecture is to:
- Summarise the aetiology of white spots
- Demonstrate treatment planning protocols for white spot removal and reduction.
- Apply a minimally invasive approach to make aesthetic improvements for patients who have white marks on their teeth
- Know the different treatment options
- A step-by-step breakdown of how to use Icon Vestibular to successfully treat white spots.

Improving smiles and preserving teeth: minimally invasive esthetic procedures
Reaching patients’ esthetic demands requires from the practitioner knowledge on the myriad of treatment possibilities. While restorative procedures that require considerable tooth preparation as veneers and crowns have many indications, there are also plenty of procedures that combine excellent esthetic results with greater tissue preservation and, therefore, should be considered a first choice. This lecture aims to present and discuss minimally invasive esthetic treatments as bleaching, resin infiltration and direct composites resins.
