You can certainly be proud of that: At a major gala event that took place in Hamburg's Speicherstadt warehouse district, DMG President, Dr Wolfgang Mühlbauer, was awarded the title of Family Entrepreneur of the Year for the Hamburg metropolitan region. The “Lever of the Economy” trophy was ceremoniously handed over in the presence of the Senator for Economics and Innovation, Michael Westhagemann.
The award has been conferred by DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER and DIE JUNGEN UNTERNEHMER since 1994. As representatives of free enterprise, the associations represent the economic policy interests of 180,000 family-run businesses in Germany.
In his congratulatory speech, Michael Westhagemann, Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs and Innovation, praised Dr Mühlbauer's entrepreneurial commitment to Hamburg as a business hub. Furthermore, particular emphasis was placed on the successful retention of employees, the high level of innovation of DMG, as well as the social commitment and the dedication to a sustainable corporate policy.
We are delighted with this award, which is a nice confirmation of DMG's corporate philosophy.
