Flairesse – microplastic-free
Why does DMG label Flairesse Gel and Flairesse Bleaching Gels CP 5%, 10% and 16% as being “microplastic-free”?:
An internationally recognised definition of the term microplastics doesn’t exist and there are no generally applicable criteria as to when a “microplastic-free” claim can be made. The most commonly used definition is:
“Solid, insoluble plastic particles up to five millimetres in diameter.” This is the definition of microplastics used by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA), which is also used as a guideline by WWF Germany.
DMG does not use any substances known to contain microplastics for its Flairesse Gel and Flairesse Bleaching Gels CP 5%, 10% and 16%. Flairesse Gel and Flairesse Bleaching Gels contain purified water, which is indirectly analysed for microplastics through various tests. The values are below the limit of quantification. None of the other ingredients in Flairesse contain any declared microplastics either. There is no evidence to suggest that microplastics are created by abrasion or dissolution of the primary packaging when Flairesse Gel is used properly.
Flairesse – mikroplastikfrei
Warum bezeichnet die DMG Flairesse Gel und die Flairesse Bleaching Gele CP 5%, 10% und 16% als „mikroplastikfrei“?:
Es gibt keine international anerkannte Definition von Mikroplastik und keine allgemein gültigen Grenzwerte, ab wann eine „Mikroplastikfreiheit“ ausgelobt werden darf. Die am meisten verwendete Definition lautet wie folgt:
„Feste, wasserunlösliche Kunststoffpartikel, die fünf Millimeter und kleiner sind“ – dies ist die Definition des Umweltprogramms der Vereinten Nationen (UNEP) und des Umweltbundesamtes (UBA) für Mikroplastik, an der sich auch der WWF Deutschland orientiert.
Die DMG verwendet keine Inhaltsstoffe für Flairesse Gel und die Flairesse Bleaching Gele CP 5%, 10% und 16%, die bekanntermaßen Mikroplastik enthalten. In Flairesse Gel und den Flairesse Bleaching Gelen ist gereinigtes Wasser, was u.a. auf Mikroplastik durch verschiedene Tests indirekt untersucht wird. Die Werte liegen unter der Bestimmungsgrenze. Die weiteren Inhaltsstoffe von Flairesse enthalten ebenfalls kein deklariertes Mikroplastik. Es gibt keinen Grund zur Annahme, dass Mikroplastik durch Abrieb oder Auflösung der Primärverpackung bei sachgemäßem Gebrauch des Flairesse Gels entsteht.
Flairesse – vegan

There are many definitions regarding vegan foods, what being vegan entails and the vegan lifestyle.
DMG is guided by the definition used by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) for vegan foods and defines the term “vegan” itself as follows:
The products in the Flairesse product range are vegan because no ingredients (including additives, carriers, flavourings and enzymes) or processing aids of animal origin are added or used in either processed or unprocessed form at any stage of production or processing.

Es gibt eine Vielzahl an Definitionen veganer Lebensmittel, vegan lebender Personen bzw. der veganen Lebensweise.
Die DMG orientiert sich an der Definition des BMEL (Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft) für vegane Lebensmittel und definiert den Begriff „vegan“ selbst wie folgt:
Die Produkte der Flairesse Produktlinie sind vegan, da auf allen Produktions- und Verarbeitungsstufen keine Inhaltsstoffe (einschließlich Zusatzstoffe, Trägerstoffe, Aromen und Enzyme) oder Verarbeitungshilfsstoffe, die tierischen Ursprungs sind, in verarbeiteter oder unverarbeiteter Form zugesetzt oder verwendet werden.
Flairesse – titanium dioxide-free
Why does DMG label Flairesse Gel and Flairesse Bleaching Gels CP 5%, 10% and 16% as being “titanium dioxide-free”?:
Titanium dioxide, TiO2 for short, is a mostly white crystalline powder that is often used as a colouring in medicines, food and cosmetics. It has come under criticism for some time now as being potentially harmful to health. DMG has therefore taken the precaution of not using or adding titanium dioxide to these products.
Flairesse – titandioxidfrei
Warum bezeichnet die DMG Flairesse Gel und die Flairesse Bleaching Gele CP 5%, 10% und 16% als „titandioxidfrei“?:
Titandioxid, kurz TiO2, ist ein meist weißes kristallines Pulver, was häufig zur Färbung von Arzneimitteln, Lebensmitteln und Kosmetika eingesetzt wird. Seit einiger Zeit steht es in der Kritik potentiell gesundheitsschädlich zu sein. Aus diesem Grund verzichtet die DMG vorsorglich auf den Einsatz oder Zusatz von Titandioxid bei diesen Produkten.
