DMG supports dental aid for Myanmar.

26 August 2019

Dentistry students from the University of Witten/Herdecke have been involved in a project for the dental health of children in Myanmar for many years. At DMG, we are promoting this aid project as one of the main sponsors.

The main objective is to support the work of dentists in the country, in particular to offer conservative treatments, dental prevention programs and education to children.

Currently there is again a four-person student team in Myanmar, to provide practical dental assistance directly on site. Vanessa Lieken, Tim Robrecht, Lisa Martin and Johannes Koeser visit primary schools and kindergartens in various villages to educate the children and their teachers about brushing their teeth. In small groups, with brought toothbrushes and toothpastes, proper teeth brushing teeth is trained. Always there: Joe the crocodile and Theo the Tiger.

We at DMG would like to thank all the team members for the outstanding commitment and will be happy to tell you more about it soon.
